Alessandro Bertolini of Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni-Selle Italia pulled off a bis in the 61st Coppa Ugo Agostoni by repeating his win of last year. The 36 year-old attacked escape companions Austrian Christian Pfannberger (Elk Haus-Simplon) and compatriot Luca Mazzanti (Ceramica Panaria-Navigare) in the last kilometre to arrive solo.

Fortunato Baliani (Ceramica Panaria-Navigare) led home in fourth.

Bertolini thanked Team Manager Gianni Savio after the race and underlined his desire to race the World Championships on the national team in October.
