2012 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships
The USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships move from its traditional date in mid-December to its new place on the calendar in early January to better align the American race calendar with their European competitors'.
Madison, Wisconsin will host the 2012 edition of cyclo-cross Nationals on January 4-8 after the championships spent two years in Bend, Oregon.
Katie Compton is the overwhelming favourite in the elite women's championship as she seeks an unprecedented eighth straight national title. Defending champion Todd Wells will not contest the elite men's championship, leaving riders such as Jeremy Powers, Ryan Trebon and Tim Johnson as the likely contenders for the stars-and-stripes jersey.
USA Cycling will provide live online video coverage of the elite women's and men's championships on Sunday, January 8 which can be seen on Cyclingnews.
