Rally UHC's Heidi Franz claimed the victory on stage 2 of the Tour of the Gila, having escaped with Jasmin Duehring (Sho-Air Twenty20) en route to Fort Bayard. The pair built up a lead of more than a minute on overnight leader Brodie Chapman (Tibco-Silicon Valley Bank), with Duehring taking over the race lead.
