Lampaert wins Tour of Slovakia
Viviani wins final stage as Démare misses out on overall by one second
Report
Elia Viviani (Deceuninck-QuickStep) won the final stage of the Tour of Slovakia in Senica, in the process handing his teammate Yves Lampaert overall victory.
The Italian beat Arnaud Démare (Groupama-FDJ) in the bunch sprint, meaning that the Frenchman just missed out on overhauling Lampaert in the general classification. Alexander Kristoff (Katusha-Alpecin) finished third.
Lampert takes the overall win – his second of the season – one second ahead of Démare, while Stefan Küng (Groupama-FDJ) took third overall, three seconds back.
