The 2012 Tour de Romandie is one of the most eagerly-awaited races of the season so far, with a world class field fine-tuning themselves for the forthcoming Grand Tours and plenty of fascinating sub-plots.
The six-stage WorldTour race in Switzerland features time trials at the beginning and the end. Cadel Evans (BMC) won this event for the second time last year, en route to Tour De France glory, and lines up again, while media interest will be strong as this race marks the first time that British stars Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish line up together in Team Sky colours.
