The Tour de Pologne shifts to a July date in 2020 to avoid a clash with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and despite competition from the Tour de France, the seven-day race is sure to attract a strong field of riders with designs on the gold medal in Japan.
The 2020 edition gets underway on July 5 and concludes on July 11. The route of the 2020 Tour de Pologne is yet to be revealed but in recent years, the race has followed a familiar format, with a start in Krakow and a grand finale in Bukowina Tatrzańska in the Tatra Mountains.
Pavel Sivakov (Team Ineos) claimed overall victory in the 2019 Tour de Pologne, which was overshadowed by the tragic death of Bjorg Lambrecht. Led by his Lotto Soudal teammates, the peloton paid a poignant tribute on the neutralised stage 4.
