Albert back on top in Ardooie
Stybar, Vanthourenhout continue top results
Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) continued his fine early-season form as he soloed to victory at the Kermiscross in Ardooie, Belgium. The Belgian power-house proved too strong for Czech rider Zdenek Stybar (Telenet Fidea Cycling Team), who claimed second place from Sven Vanthourenhout (Sunweb Projob).
Klaas Vantornout added to Sunweb Projob’s solid result with his fourth placing. Vanthourenhout’s cousin Dieter Vanthourenhout (BKCP-Powerplus) took sixth place, behind Tom Meeusen (Telenet Fidea Cycling Team).
Jonathan Page (Planet Bike) was the top North American rider at the race, finishing in 13th place.
