The last race on the National Road Series (NRS) calendar in recent years, the Grafton to Inverell classic is the first race on offer for the men in 2016. The winner of the last two editions, Sean Lake, lines up with his new Avanti team in search of a 'hat-trick' in what would be another historic feat.
With teams having a longer break than years past, there will be plenty of hungry riders eager to impress at the NRS opener regarded by many as the hardest race on the calendar.
