2013 Eneco Tour
The Dutch/Belgian Eneco Tour is a late-season WorldTour stage races which gives the pro peloton an opportunity to race along the same roads that feature in the Spring Classics, albeit in usually much more pleasant weather conditions.
The race evolved out of the former Tour of the Netherlands and is the only WorldTour stage race in the region.
Because of the parcours, the Eneco Tour favours the strong men, especially since the Muur van Geraardsbergen was incorporated into the finale of stage 7 in 2012. Lars Boom won that edition, and will return to defend his title this year.
