Vos wins Dutch women's title
Blaak and Bosman round out top three
Marianne Vos won the Dutch women's road race title on Saturday. The current cyclo-cross world champion outsmarted her compatriots to take a solo win in front of a appreciative crowd in Heerlen.
Vos orchestrated her victory by launching her determined attack with 20km remaining. The 22-year-old DSB-Netherland rider held heradvantage over the peloton finishing one minute ahead of the second placed rider. Runner up was Chantal Blaak, who beat Andrea Bosman and the remainder of the peloton to the line by less than half a second.
It is the second time Vos has won the senior national road title, having previously taken victory in the 2006 race.
