In 2017, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race expands with the addition of an Albert Park criterium on Australia Day (January 26) as a curtain raiser ahead of its first year as a WorldTour race.
The teams from the men's WorldTour race, including 13 WorldTour teams, will take part in the 116.6km race around the F1 circuit with a sprint finish the expected outcome. The women's shorter 63.6km morning race also features the same teams as Saturday's road race.
The day concludes with presentations for the winners of both races before the riders make their down to Geelong for Friday's team presentation and the weekend of racing.
