Not to be missed, Stage 5 is a showcase of some of the best scenery in South Australia: crystal seas, white sandy beaches and lush vineyards.
Willunga (multiple winner of the highly-prized Best Dressed Town award) has really embraced the Jacob's Creek Tour Down Under, and the result is a sensational day of parades, live music, food and wine (and even cycling).
Heaps of good, fast racing and long, straight stretches make viewing easy, and towns like McLaren Vale, Aldinga and Aldinga Beach also get into the swing of things, so there's heaps to see and do right around the route.
Top viewing
- The Esplanade, near Butterworth St in Aldinga Beach: Snapper Point SA Lotteries Sprint; women's criteriums
- Willunga Hill, south of Willunga (Laubman & Pank King of the Mountain: last lap)
- Willunga town centre for race start and finish & presentations; veteran's straight line sprint.
