Dutch rider claims women's race just ahead of French gravel champion Axelle Dubau-Prévôt while Jordy Bouts wins second ahead of Magnus Bak Klaris in men's three way sprint
The Gravel Earth Series continued in Lithuania on Saturday, with Marjolein van’t Geloof and Rait Arm (Energus) claiming the victories in the tightly contentested finishes at Megre Gravel.
The Dutch rider, who races for Laboral Kutxa–Fundación Euskadi on the road, charged over the line to win the pro women's race with a two second margin to French gravel champion Axelle Dubau-Prévôt (EF Education-Oatly). Swedish privateer Nathalie Eklund took third, just a further six seconds back in the 150km race over fast gravel roads and through the forest of Anykščiai, which also had a seperate women's start an hour ahead of other groupd.
It was a three-way sprint to decide the men's race, with Arm edging out Jordy Bouts (The Grip), who took second ahead of 2025 Gravel Earth champion Magnus Bak Klaris (PAS Racing/Factor).
The eleven event Gravel Earth Series is now into its final events of the season, wrapping up with The River by the Traka in Bouillon, Belgium on September 6.
The last rankings update heading into Megre Gravel had Dubau-Prévôt at the top of the women's series standings and Mads Würtz Schmidt (Specialized Racing) leading the men's category.
