Limited to just 77 examples, and bearing the name of one of the most prestigious automotive brands, is this limited edition version of Storck's new Fascenario .3 road bike.
Finished in pearlescent Aston Martin paintwork and loaded with SRAM Red eTap, Zipp's 303 NSW wheels and a smattering of lightweight bits from THM, the build totals 5.9kg / 13lb.
The collaboration came after company founder Markus Storck placed an order for seven exclusive versions of the Aston Martin Vanquish sports car – one for himself, and six for his petrolhead friends.
The Fascenario .3 itself is a fresh introduction to the Storck range, and a bike that boasts plenty of interesting design features. With a claimed weight of 840g, the Fascenario .3 frame is heavily sculpted to cheat the wind, and uses aero-optimised profiles at its head tube and down tube along with a distinctive, dedicated fork that's shaped to minimise turbulence and therefore drag.
Even in its regular form, the Storck Fascenario .3 is not a cheap bike. Storck is looking for £5,549 for the frameset alone – but that's almost a bargain when you're confronted with the price of the Aston Martin edition model which stands at a staggering £15,777 / €17777 / $17007.
It's not the first time Aston Martin has collaborated with a bike manufacturer either; anyone remember the Factor Aston Martin bike?
