The UCI has announced a series of measures for world cycling to deal with the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, it announced on Sunday. Headlining the statement is the total suspension of all classification rankings on the UCI calendar around the world until at least April 3, 2020.

"By freezing the points during the period indicated, the UCI is preserving sporting equity for the athletes," the governing body said in its announcement, stopping short of suspending all international races directly.
