Italian Davide Rebellin will get a shot at winning his second Amstel Gold Race now that his Diquigiovanni-Androni team has been granted the sixth and final wildcard invitation for the Dutch race which takes place on April 19. The 2004 Amstel Gold Race winner took fourth in last year's event and second to his teammate Stefan Schumacher in 2007.
Along with the 18 ProTour teams, the Professional Continental squads Skil-Shimano, Vacansoleil, Topsport Vlaanderen, Cervélo TestTeam, Landbouwkrediet-Colnago and Diquigiovanni-Androni will make up the 24 teams which will tackle the Dutch Classic.
