The Trenta 3K Carbon has more carbon than previous MET helmets, which makes it lighter by reducing dense EPS foam without reducing energy absorption capabilities, MET claims.
A carbon construction is formed by 'parallel ribs', which link at the centre of the helmet.

The Trenta means 'thirty' in Italian; the model celebrates the company's 30th year in business.
The Trenta has 19 vents and comes with claims of less drag than an unspecified traditional road helmet and equal drag performance to an unspecified aero road helmet whilst sprinting at 60 kph on the drops.

Whilst we can't vouch for its aerodynamic performance, we can comment on its aesthetics. The Trenta 3K Carbon is available in matte white and black, plus gloss black with a green strip or the Italian tricolore.
Team Dimension Data and UAE Team Emirates riders will be wearing the helmets for the remainder of the Tour de France and also have the option of the more aero MET Mantra model.
New RH+ λamβo
Also on stage 3 of the 2017 Tour de France, the Pro Continental team Wanty-Groupe Gobert debuted the new λamβo helmet from rh+, which is pronounced 'Lambo'.
The helmet is available with or without MIPS and weighs a claimed 250g for a size medium.

The λamβo sits somewhere between a traditional road helmet and an aero road helmet, with a name that seems to be inspired by a certain automotive company.
Further technical details are expected when RH+ make the helmet available to the public at the Eurobike show later this year.
The two helmets follow the debuts of the Giro Vanquish, Lazer Bullet and Kask Vallegro, which have all been raced for the first time at the French Grand Tour.
