Eneco Tour winner Bobby Julich (Team CSC) has moved up to fourth in the ProTour rankings with 130 points, 54 behind leader Danilo Di Luca (Liquigas-Bianchi). Julich, winner of the first ProTour race (Paris-Nice) has an outside chance of taking back the lead with the Tour of Germany and other ProTour stage race coming up, but Di Luca will no doubt be doing his best in the one day races. Second placed Lance Armstrong (Discovery Channel, 139 pts) has retired and will obviously not challenge for any more points, while third placed Alexandre Vinokourov (T-Mobile, 136 pts) is in the quieter part of his season.
In the teams rankings, Phonak holds a six point lead over Team CSC, with Rabobank in third place. Italy is the number one ranked nation on 574 points, ahead of the USA (468 pts) and Spain (355 pts).
