The Spaniard rider Cayetano Juliá, who raced in the Caisse d'Epargne Illes Balears during the two last seasons, and the neo-professional Jesus Buendía, who made his debut in 2006 with the 3 Molinos Resort Murcia Turística, have both signed contracts with continental Spanish team Grupo Nicolás Mateo.
Cayetano Juliá won two stages in the 2004 Tours of Portugal and Spain. On the other hand, Jesús Buendía earned his reputation asa domestic this season.
Grupo Nicolás Mateo boasts sixteen racers going into 2007, and its squad is built around team leader Sergi Escobar, who won the final General of the Vuelta a Madrid in 2006.
