French team Cofidis has announced Eric Boyer as the new general manager of the cycling squad. He replaces Stéphane Champetier who had been occupying the function on a provisional basis since last year when the team went through restructuring because of its doping affair. Boyer has spent 11 years in various cycling teams as a professional rider and finished the 1988 Tour de France in fifth position.
