Choosing the perfect gift for a cyclist can be more challenging than it seems, especially when they already seem to have everything they could possibly need. And if you're not a cyclist yourself, it can feel even more daunting. With terms like freehubs, derailleurs, and chamois pads flying around, it’s easy to get lost in a sea of technical jargon. Add to that the pressure of finding the right size, color, or style, and it’s no wonder gift shopping can feel like a guessing game.

Many cyclists have probably accumulated their fair share of novelty gifts over the years: socks with bike-themed prints, t-shirts featuring graphic designs of iconic climbs, and countless bike repair kits that sit unused in a drawer. While these gifts are thoughtful, they’re not likely to stand out as something special or unique.

Cyclingnews is the world's leader in English-language coverage of professional cycling. Started in 1995 by University of Newcastle professor Bill Mitchell, the site was one of the first to provide breaking news and results over the internet in English. The site was purchased by Knapp Communications in 1999, and owner Gerard Knapp built it into the definitive voice of pro cycling. Since then, major publishing house Future PLC has owned the site and expanded it to include top features, news, results, photos and tech reporting. The site continues to be the most comprehensive and authoritative English voice in professional cycling.
