The Boels Rental Ladies Tour is the penultimate stop on the UCI Women's WorldTour, and the final stage race before the Madrid Challenge, the final event of the series.
The six-day race represents the final opportunity for challengers to get past series leader Anna van der Breggen - but to do so they must outpower the dominant Boels Dolmans team on their home soil in their sponsor's race.
It's a tall order, but one that second-placed Katarzyna Niewiadoma (WM3) and third-placed Annemiek van Vleuten (Orica-Scott) will be keen to tackle.
The race begins with short individual time trial of just 4.3km, but a longer 16.9km test on stage 3 will provide the biggest sort-out for the overall classification.
While the former Holland Ladies Tour lacks the soaring mountains of the Giro Rosa, the narrow roads, punchy, short climbs, winds and technical courses all factor in selecting the deserving winner of this WorldTour event which concludes in Sittard on September 3.
