Colnago C-50: First Look

By Tim Maloney

Cyclingnews met with US Colnago importer Trialtir in New York during the New York Cycling Championships last weekend and they provided a sneak preview of the new Colnago C-50 that will be available in September.

First shown last month by Ernesto Colnago (see report), the C-50 is a significant new release from the Italian firm. Massimo Bartolini of Trialtir told Cyclingnews "the new Colnago C-50 has some special new features; it's made with a special light weight high modulus carbon fiber that has enabled Ernesto Colnago to use oversize tubes similar to to the Dream, and the C-50 has a 1 1/8" non-integrated headtube, oversize dropouts and a lighter Ti bottom bracket shell.

"Colnago has also refined the High Power chainstay shape, which will further improve it's function."

For more info, stay tuned to Cyclingnews Tech Pages, where we will have more on the new Colnago C-50 later this month.
