This may be an opportunity for a rider who suffered on the Aubisque to regroup but as 'miraculous' comebacks in Grand Tours are (happily) less common these days, it's more likely that broken dreams will be ground into the dirt. It's a short stage but by this point everyone will be feeling the fatigue so fireworks are not assured.
