OVO Energy Women's Tour 2019
Lizzie Deignan (Trek-Segafredo) secured overall victory in the 2019 OVO Energy Women's Tour after a tense final stage 6 to Pembrey Country Park. She won the title by two seconds ahead of Kasia Niewiadoma and 23 seconds ahead of Amy Pieters (Boels Dolmans).
The OVO Energy Women's Tour expanded to six days of racing and was held from June 10-15 in the UK. It marked the next stage race on the Women's WorldTour after Tour of Chongming Island, Tour of California and Emakumeen Bira.
The race saw five former winners take the start line and go head-to-head for the overall title.
Defending champion Coryn Rivera (Sunweb) faced previous title winners in Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon-SRAM), Lizzie Deignan (Trek-Segafredo), Lisa Brennauer (WNT-Rotor) and Marianne Vos (CCC-Liv).
The OVO Energy Women's Tour expanded to six stages this year. It will also offered a first-ever hilltop finish in Warwickshire, which has hosted the event for four seasons, through Burton Dassett Country Park. The race covered 790 kilometres and over 8,400 metres of ascending.
